Michael Jansen, CEO of Cityzenith and New Startup TwinUp, Commits Perjury in Illinois Federal Court Case

Michael Jansen of Cityzenith and TwinUp files forged email to the UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF ILLINOIS EASTERN DIVISION (22-cv-05101), in an attempt to convince judge that Shane Liddell of Smart Crowdfunding, reached out to him to solicit his business.

We receive many inquiries via our Smart Crowdfunding website, but unlike others, we never use automation on first contact with clients. In fact, we use a templated email which is then edited each time.

Here is the contact form submitted by Jansen directly from our website:

Here is the original email sent to Jansen in response to his contact form submission:

To which Jansen then clicked the “HERE” link and went ahead and scheduled a call with me directly.

Below is the doctored email Jansen submitted to the court:

Once challenged, he then stooped even lower by submitting another affidavit to the court in an attempt to convince the judge that he had not doctored an email, but had in fact received only the email he submitted (doctored), and that it was still in his inbox.

As we use HubSpot as our CRM, the images below are screenshots of the contact Michael Jansen and his behavior on our website way back on August 24th, 2022. It clearly shows that Jansen visited our website twice on that day, with his second visit resulting in him completing the “Contact Us” form.

Besides swindling investors, and suppliers out of millions of dollars, Michael Jansen committed securities fraud. I reported him to the SEC, and the rest is nothing more than retaliation.

The court case (22-cv-05101) is expected to be resolved by August 16th, 2023 with further investigation into Jansen’s nefarious and fraudulent behavior still ongoing.
